On Jimmy Martin's "Greatest Bluegrass Album," who picked on these tunes 1. Widow Maker 2. Honey, you don't know my Mind 3. White Dove 4. Uncle Pen 5. Rollin' in my sweet baby's Arms 6. Taylor Made Sally Good 7. Freeborn Man 8. Sunny side of the Mountain 9. Blue Moon of KY 10. Goodbye old Pal 11. Big Country I believe I know, but, you know, it's hard to tell Kenny from JD on this material and especially since a lot of time has passed and styles have changed. Thanks. John Lewis

I think it might all be Kenny Ingram. If it is the same session that Gene Wooten played dobro on, it was a marathon session where they recorded about 40 songs over the course of one weekend. This session happened in the mid '70's, maybe '76?

nothing like 1st hand info ... thanks Kenny !!
I saw you in South Fla. at a festival ... with Lester ... around 1973 I think. I picked a little with Marty behind the bus ... he was 14-15 years old I think.
I think you played "Bluegrass Breakdown" (I'm probably wrong ... maybe FMB) at about 400bpm !!! I almost quit for good .....
thanks for all of the great music.

I asked Vernon Derrick (while he was with Hank,Jr band) how many banjo pickers did Jimmy Martin go through and he said "Jimmy had more banjo pickers then Carter Stanley had liver pills". Good answer!
