Rounder Records has re-issued "Fragments of My Imagicnation" in CD format. The NewGrass/BlueGrass Boy, Butch Robins, originally had this vinyl album released in the 70's. It's been called progressive bluegrass, but whatever one wishes to label it, the music is very creative & interesting. Check out the Bluegrass Blog entry on Oct. 29th for more info. This re-issue is WAY overdue!

Yep. About time.
One of my favorite pieces of banjo vinyl. Bonus that Béla plays banjo on "Slippin' on Ice" while Butch plays mandolin(!!) on it.

It's also available from iTunes for $9.95. Nice to see these old chestnuts seeing the light of day.

Now if Rounder would just reissue "The Fifth Child" and "Forty Years Late", I would be totally satisfied. While they are at it, I wish they could see their way clear to reissue "The White Brothers" (The New Kentucky Colonels in Sweden---with Alan Munde).
