Hey everyone, been absent from the boards for awhile, but just wanted to throw up a post looking for people to jam in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Its kinda lonely up here for Old Time music, but drop me a line if your into playing sometime. I also play fiddle.

Cheers

Jeff

I get to Halifax a couple times a year...been doing so since '02. The Monday night session at the Old Triangle is pretty good, but my favorite jam is at the Trellis Cafe in Hubbards on Thursday night...that one's more of a folk/blues/ sing-along, but very friendly and the food is great. Perhaps you know all this stuff, as you're the local and I'm el turisto. I'll be back in April when it's safe to drive over Cobequid Pass, but not before! I try and remember to give you a holler.

Cheers,

If I still lived there, I would gladly join you! I too remember finding it a little lonely for old time music... Hope you get your jam together!

mainejohn, gimme a message next time you head up...lots of celtic sessions, Saturday night at the Henry House is fun. I live near the Trellis, but never have checked out the Thursday jam....thanks for the tip!

I hear you on that one. I'd like to get together for a jam. Email me and we can work something out. I'm in the valley, near Canning. I get down to the city a couple times a week, and its only 40 or so I-Pod tunes away.
Fiddle you say?

Its on Barrington Street near South.....there is also a couple Irish Sessions throughout the week....Sunday at the Old Triangle (with set dancers), Tuesday Night at the Old Triangle, wednesday "beginner" session at the Lions Head, and "advanced" session at Durty Nellys. Basically LOTS of Irish music here ;-)

My mistake...no Monday night session at the OT. Is Durty Nellie's that new pub near the Economy Shoe Shop?

Now you're making we want to take a road trip!
