The Mandolin Store has a credit program that would work that way I believe.

We've done that at Nechville many times. Once the balance is paid, we ship.

I can vouch for Al and Nechville. That's how I purchased my first banjo.

It was a used Deering that they had for sale on their website.

I've talked many times with Clyde (guns and banjos) and know him to be a stand-up guy also.

You can do that with Fitch Banjos. I done it in three instalments. Two were the cost of the banjo and the third was shipping. But you don't get the banjo till all is paid, but I live in England so that is to be expected.

So Goldstarman, Your talking where the dealer/seller will actually put a hold on the entire amount on your credit card, similar to when you make a reservation at a hotel, and then each month they actually charge a third of the price and the end of the third month the item is paid for. But because they merchant has actually put a "hold" on the entire amount he ships the banjo immediately. You just dont get billed but 1/3 each month for 3 months. I know of other stores that do that on other items. Might be a way for some merchants to increase thier sales. Jim
