Like so many other songs, I been aiming to learn this the correct way :) This is not the "correct" way lol... but what fun I had. Last Thursday night I had a few friends that were gonna go play at the "hippy bar" so I said what the hay! Rueben got called out as well as some other standards. Hope you enjoy, the recordings got allot of background noise. Mick Cagle "slide" on dobro, me on banjer, Brandon Jamison on mandolin, Shane McMullen on bass and my dear old dixie friend Mr. Scott Chism the dragonhorse himself on guitar :)

Your alls non trad approach pickin will go over MUCH better at a hippie bar anyway. As you prolly know,They like the "jam band"approach.
Yeah man, we share alotta the same up the neck phrasing ya had happenin. You took it alittle further though... Glad ya got some good pickers there in MS who can hang with ya! The animal clubs have started hirin BG bands around here occasionally.
Wonchew boys try hittin a Moose? (BIG MONEY.....)
Wish I was there, sounds like MUCH FUN.

Yeah, I'm with John - save the "correct way" for your next recording session. Playing live - and to that audience (dude, what was IN that Kool Aid) - then just jamming and having fun is the way to go - I would have done the same myself!
Sounds like everyone had a great time - good playing all round!

Cheers,
Laurence

It takes a lot to laugh, but it takes a train to cry
