I just posted this ad for a very nice Wayne Sagmoen banjo: http://www.banjohangout.org/classif...18&cid=12036

Those are very nice banjos and great values. I saw David Prat's walnut Sagmoen in Louisville a few weeks ago. It is a gem. Mine is cherry...I think I like the walnut better.
Good luck with the sale!

Hmm....This might work for me. Two questions for ya'. What's the nut width, and what is the shape of the neck (V-shaped or more like an open U)? Thanks.

Hey Tackhead,
The nut width is 1 1/4" and the neck is more of a u shape. If you need any additional photos, let me know.

Fred: Don't get me wrong...I love my cherry Sagmoen banjo. What I should have said is I'd like to have one of each! But I must admit...I do have a thing for dark walnut colored wood. Also...I think the design has evolved a bit since I ordered mine. I like the neck profile of the newer banjo. It was a little thicker and wider near the rim than mine. Again...I'm not complaining...and my banjo is a keeper. www.johnbalchmusic.comwww.myspace.com/johnbalch

I honestly would have snapped this up immediately after your posting if I could.. I know its no help to you. But the corral is really full at the moment and the wife is not OK with it!

That is okay Rick. If it were up to me and not the boss, I would have kept it but she is the boss!

Congrats on a quick sale, Russ. That lasted a lot longer than I thought it would.
