Hey everybody. I have a mahogany Yates Ron Stewart model for sale. Its in really good condition other than a tiny nick on the resonator. It was recently updated with the new tone ring and rim combo. It has a great feeling speed neck and the metal has been distressed. Its an absolutely killer sounding five. Ive been playing it constantly for the passed year and a half on the road and recorded a few songs on the new Grasstowne record with it. I am asking $3600 but would consider less. Check it out in the classifieds.

Thanks,
Jason Davis

Good question, that does look well-loved....

I think the reason is that Jason has started endorsing Sonny's banjos now.

The reason I am selling this banjo is I recently aquired a Chief banjo that I absolutely love. Not to take anything away from this banjo or any of Yates banjos, there incredible banjos! But this particular banjo really fits me. I really hate to see the Yates just sit around. It needs to be played. Thats why ive decided to sell it.

Somebody smart should jump on this fast. There's been a several posts on BHO about how few of these you see for sale, let alone one played and recorded with by a pro like Jason.

If I had the cash, it'd be gone by now....

If I didn't have a new one on order I would get it. Ever since I have placed my order with Warren there have been 3 RS models for sale. I did not see a single one for sale before that. Just my luck I guess. I know it is one great sounding banjo.

Are you interested in any trades?

Wait for your new RS Yates. It will have all of the upgrades and have a killer sound. I bought one of the first ones which sounded good at the time. But, I recently sent it back to Warren for the rim and tone ring updates--the banjo is a monster!!! The RS now comes with a special RS ring only in the RS model. What was originally a fabulous banjo has now evolved into the best banjo ever for me. There really is a noticable difference pre and post updates.

The Warren Yates and Ronnie Stewart team have done it again. Time for their nomination for a Nobel Peace Prize.
