Hi folks! It's time to hit the road again for concerts and workshops in Maine, Vermont and in the Boston area. I hope to meet a lot of Northeast BHO members at one of these events. Here's all the info you need to know:

October 21: Yarmouth, ME: Bill Evans and Megan Lynch teach workshops at 317 Main St. Community Music Center. Megan teaches "So, What Does The Fiddler Do In A Jam Again" and Bill teaches "Earl Scruggs Essentials." October 24-25: Boston and Cambridge, MA: Bill Evans and Megan Lynch host weekend workshops! Surviving A Bluegrass Jam: A Crash Course For Newbies and Generally Shy People from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday at a private home in Boston ($30 for BBU members; $35 for non-members). On Sunday afternoon, Megan teaches "So, What Does The Fiddler Do in a Jam Again" and Bill teaches "Bluegrass Banjo Jam Survival Skills" from 2 to 5 p.m. at the New School of Music, 25 Lowell Street, Cambridge ($50 for BBU members and $55 for non-members). All sessions open to all level of players but are ideal for those with one or more years of playing experience. Sponsored by the Boston Bluegrass Union. October 27: Putney, VT: Bill Evans and Megan Lynch in concert at the Fine Arts Building, Greenhoe Theater at Landmark College, One River Road South, 7:30 p.m. Also appearing "Twin Banjos" 2009 New Hampshire Arts Grant Recipients Bruce Stockwell & Bill Jubett. $10 for general public / $5 for Landmark Students at the door. October 28: Boston, MA: Bill Evans and Megan Lynch at the Berklee College of Music, mini-concert and workshop, 1 p.m.

Hi, Bill - in that I'll be getting tons of Evans wisdom at Nashcamp a few days earlier, I'll probably not be at the workshop in Yarmouth. You're going to be blown away when you see that facility - any community in the nation would be proud to have one like it, and precious few actually do. We're very fortunate here in the Portland area.

Looking forward to the Longfellow concert, though!

Hi folks! Just wanted to let you know that there is plenty of room in this weekend's workshops in the Boston area. A little clarification - the Saturday "Surviving a Bluegrass Jam" workshop will be at a private home in Brookline from 3 to 5 p.m. ($30 / $35 for non-BBU members) On Sunday, the "Bluegrass Banjo Jam Survival Skills" ($50 / $55 for non-BBU members) will be at the New School of Music in Cambridge from 2 to 5 p.m.
