Hi,
I'm refinishing and refurbing my banjo. I've never like my nashville adjustable tailpiece and so I've bought myself a kershner.
Here's the problem. My nashville has a lip which rests on the tension hoop, but the kershner doesn't. How does the kershner rest on the tension hoop. Am I missing some piece.
I've tried to look at pictures to figure it out, but haven't found a nice close up of the Kershner tailpiece mounted yet (I know, it sounds crazy, but I haven't found it).
I also have another question. I bought a head from StewMac which I thought was a Remo Weatherking. The head does not have any writing on it (like my original Remo does), and my invoice says "Weatherkng". Is my head a Remo or a knock off. I called StewMac and asked them specifically before hand and they said it was a Remo but now I'm not sure.
Thanks for the help! Matt

Remo makes StewMac's heads; sometimes they say "Elite;" sometimes they are plain.

The Kershner doesn't need to rest on the tension hoop.

Ah ha!
I need a tailpiece bracket. BTW, that banjo is beautiful, hopefully it's yours.
Thanks Thor! Matt

Why the rubber washer, Thor? To snug it up?
