I bought one at Tractor Supply Company called "Banjo Christmas - Christmas Treasures." The performers are The Clarke Family. It is on the Lifestyles label LIF 160051. It is a mixture of bluegrass and clawhammer playing. The clawhammer style "O Jerusalem in the Morning," has a really raw oldtime style that I can't get enough of. I like the album a bunch. You can sample it here at Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Banjo-Christm...89741&sr=1-1
Note: Amazon lists it as the Pine Street Singers but the album says the Clarke Family (One in the same?)

Another that ia a great bluegrass Christmas sampler is "The Essential Bluegrass Christmas Collection - Christmas Time's A-Comin" various artists. TimeLife label. Eighteen very diverse cuts. Mine came from Barnes and Noble.

david grisman has one called "an acoustic christmas"
its mandolin heavy ,a little more on the progressive ,jazzy side, but its a very relaxing kind of christmas cd.

"Yeah,I play the banjo. You gotta problem with that?"

Shameless self-promotion alert!!!!!

My wife and I recorded a Christmas CD. It isn't Bluegrass, but does have some banjo on it, including versions of Coventry Carol and I Wonder As I Wander played in mountain minor. You can get it through my website.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled program...

Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, Jingle All The Way. Not bluegrass, but wonderful none the less. IMHO.

My wife gave it to me for Xmas last year and even though Béla's playing was technically superb, it, how can I say politely, just wasn't quite my cup of tea...

May I congratulate you on your wording. So often people mistake personal taste for universal truth. You said it wonderfully. This should be more frequent on discussion boards. Thanks.
