Judy:

I hope this isn't inappropriate to ask, but I was wondering if when Bobby was well and in better times, if you had friends over to pick just for the enjoyment of playing music? I heard Earl mention in an interview he did that they were going to have a pickin' over at his house later in the week. It just seems so cool to imagine a musician of Bobby's caliber just sitting around jammin', in a friendly setting with people he enjoyed. I've already wished you a happy birthday, but I'll give you another wish for an extended birthday good feeling!

Hopefully Judy will chime in here. By the time I got to know Bobby, his hands were already crippled to the extent he could no longer play his banjo. Bobby never lost his love for music and would often invite friends over for jam sessions. I am honored to have taken part in several of these.
