Hardly ever go that far north. Was at the Luxemburg Agricultural Heritage celebration. Some old fellow was intrigued by my banjo, and wants to know more about it.
Since I hardly know what I'm really doing (on a MUSICAL level), it's hard to explain it to him by e-mail.
I tried contacting the one BHO member who lists Green Bay as his home town, and the message bounced back as undeliverable.
Anyway, if you want to try help THAT old man continue on the road to discovery where he met THIS old man, e-mail me and I'll not only give you his address, I'll give you the Q&A we've already had, so you will have some information already, when you start.

Hey Mike sorry I missed you in Luxemburg. I have no excuses to offer. I just plain forgot! I am sorry. If I can help in any way just have him call, I'm in the book.

I find 17 members listed as being in Green Bay. I know one of them, but I wouldn't wish him on anyone. No offense, Steve.

Seventeen? I only found ONE. Maybe I narrowed the search criteria too sharply, by asking for those who had checked TEACHING and HELPING.
I'll look again.
Steve who?

Ah! There we go.
Sent out a buncha buncha messages to many Green Bayers. (Sounds like chlorophyll-assisted aspirin, don't it?? )
Hope they're not offended.

Oh no, none taken. Mike, let me know what kind of response you get. Best, Steve Srubas

Steve: According to your avatar photo, you are apparently able to pick with either hand. This might be a great advantage at a crowded jam.

Confused here...got a message about this and that linked here...but I don't know what you're asking.
Stacy in Green Bay

I'm asking if anybody near Green Bay wants to possibly spend time e-mailing and/or visiting a 71 year old man who has SOME experince with accordion, and is now interested in finding out about beginning to play 5-string banjo.
Sorry not to have made my message clearer.

Hi there,
how is your search going for a banjo buddy? I wouldn't mind helping you out a little bit...I'm not a great picker, but I can carry a tune or two.
Stacy

I haven't heard back from the old fellow, so I guess it has drifted into the "Nobody Knows" level of existence.
