Wanted to let you CH/OT folks know I've got a thread about the Banjo Builder Webinar Series going in Other Banjo Related Topics. Here's an update about OME appearing (maybe) as soon as the week of October 5th.

----------------

Hey! I just got off the phone with Tanya at Ome.

She's attending IBMA next week (9/28) but the week after she'll be back in Boulder. She said she LOVE to take us all on a Webinar tour of the shop!

She also talked about including her dad (Chuck Ogsbury, the legend), Rich (luthier) and Gustavo who has been working tireless in that hallowed place for over 15 years.

So - It's lookin' like the Webinar will be the week of October 5th. I'll be back with a final date and time as soon as Tanya gives me the go-ahead. So watch this thread for updates!

Hey! There's a gourd banjer hanging on the wall behind Tanya! It kinda looks like a Thornburg.

Hey Ken, you could write in a question (during the Webinar) asking if there are any Webinar specials.

Hi Craig-

OK... I'll bite... how does the "webinar" work? Text-only? Sound-only? Video?
Inquiring minds want to know more... but are old, and addled.

Best-

I believe it was Tanya I met at Walnut Valley BG Festival. She loves clawhammer banjo and kept handing me banjos to demo, including a prototype. I played a wood-tr banjo with 12" rim that I really liked. I hope to view the webinar.

You may be man enough to take my woman, but you'll never get my banjo.

May not the incidence of success, nor the pretense of retirement-
Lessen the want of enlightenment.

Hey Chip, I've been there many times (my son went to college in Boulder). It's a GREAT place with lots of banjo-building character. And then there's the cast of builders!

This will be great fun. I'm really excited for you to see what they got out there.

And meet the nice people, too.
