Have you ever heard of Craig Duncan instrumentals? well on one of his CDs he has the song Sally Ann and I love it but i can't seem to find any one who plays it like it's played on the CD. The CD is called Country Mountain Melodies..... Does any one know how this song is played? If you do could you teach me?!? :-) Just kidding, teaching over the net is hard.... but any how, if any one knows how to play this song I'd love to be able to get a copy of it slow and maybe try learning. Thanks loads.

I would love to say that Twang is my middle name, but since it isn't I just wish it were, as that would truly be me. :-)

Hey Girl,
I play a few of Craigs Arrs...Sally Ann is played and arranged quite differently depending what part of the country/world your in. Ya got Sally Ann (OT in D) (BG in A or G), Sally Ann Johnson, (sometimes just called Sally Ann) which Ive played in both D and A, then Earls in G. Is the Jo player backin up with CH or is he playin a 3 fingered arr? Scruggs or Melodic?.
Yeah, if I could hear it, I could help ya with it.

It's scruggs style.... I'll try to post it on here so you can get an idea what it's like.

Sally Ann is an old time tune that is very similar to Sail Away Ladies. Earl's version of Sally Ann follows a different chord progression and is arranged differently. Either way works real well though. Some folks go to a minor chord in the B part which can sound cool.

Hey y'all,
I just uploaded the song onto my music. I hope it works for you to hear what I'm asking about. :-)

This is a simple version with a IIm. It's very similar to Scruggs' "Cripple Creek". Get Hatfield or one of those TAB people tab it for you for a couple of bucks.

Hi Hannah

Here is a clip of Clark Kressinger playing Sally Ann Johnson not sure if it's the same tune but it's pretty lively. Good luck with this...

Here is a link to Craig's website I had the great honour to meet with him when he was in the UK.
