You need 3 corncobs. 2 red and one white. Use one of the red ones first and then the white one to see if you need to use the other red one.
The Sears Roebuck index pages were preferred. The other pages were on slick paper and didn't work as well.

Lots of countries do not regularly use toilet paper.
In many countries you use your hand, which you then wash with water or you use a butt sprayer which is sometimes provided (a spray nozzle on a short hose).
Oh, in Muslim countries you are "supposed to" use stones. Muslim law specifies that "One should use an odd number of stones to clean the anal orifice after defecation and then proceed to a different location to wash it with water."
