What kindness is emanating from his highness!!! "quote from Mike Gregory" "Well, YOU could volunteer to post a lengthy explanation of why the other 40,000 of us are all boneheads for not agreeing with your opinions on politics, religion, sex, and the ONLY proper way to play the banjo".

I am glad that you so cordually brought all of those forbidden topics to the fore for us! As for me, my tush would be the first one that couldn't figure out the difference between charmin, and sandpaper.....so I am not a smart-ass. I am just full of raw talent.

Hawksbill, my point was that if you want a task done, sometimes you have to do it yourself.
As opposed to merely hoping that someone else screws up so badly as to get themselves kicked off, so that what may be a disaster (to them) is simply an interesting opportunity (for you) to take a poll.

Sometimes, a person is going through such an intense personal crisis (possibly exacerbated by a medical condition and side effects of the drugs prescribed for that condition) that their ability to clearly think about what to do (including posting online OR mailing a letter OR threatening an elected official OR committing suicide) is severely compromised.

No hard feelings?

And just because I'm so goshdarn good-looking doesn't actually get me promoted to any position of Highness.

EDIT:
PS- The last person that I am aware of being kicked off the BHO, referred to us (either all of us, or some of us) as "boneheads".
Hence the suggestion of what to call us.
And, of COURSE it should be the topics about which we all have been so often warned, PLUS an allowable topic, over which some of the most bitter disputes have erupted.

You are not handsome Mike...you are "purdy". Never any hard feelings! I just wanted someone to show us the way to "banishment" with courage...it couldn't be me this time, as I have so many other things to tend to, the anti-toilet-tissue rally, a "self sex change seminar", and my favorite, "how to play the banjo while paying your taxes".When I am done with these, I will make it a priorioty to find a topic, and post till I'm toast! Till then, or before, Be good, and remember, being "your highness" is always a favorable position! I bow to thee O-gregory...........not

Can I get removed for thinking you are pretty, Mike? The way your moustache flows in the wind...your winning smile, and of course your undeniable wit. Actually, I am going to remove myself! This is just too much for me!

Creek - did you mention the word "banjo" in the post? That will get you kicked out of some places fast!

I almost was on one post but it was my fault.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it!

Robert.

The great thing is to poke the alligator (or in my case - the penguins) without getting bit! I have not always been successful.

One would like to assume that political, religious or cultural opinion would not influence decisions about who gets canned, but again, one would be incorrect. It is, in fact, impossible for anyone, placed in a position of authority, not to be influenced by his beliefs.

It was not the particular political, religious or cultural opinion you held that got you kicked off (by me) it was the fact that you continued to express those opinions in a forum in which they were not allowed despite many warnings not to do so.

Despite my own views - I also kicked off my share of atheist left-wingers in my tenure and for the same reasons I censured you - so I have to say your statements here seem a bit off.

As for being bitten - feel free to bite me in return

I wasn't necessarily talking about you, oh Great Penguin. Like I said, poking too many times will get you in trouble. Lesson learned. I still stand by the statement. It's impossible for anyone to be entirely unbiased, at least not without blowing a circuit.

I know I couldn't do it.

I'm just sayin'
