Here is a link to a Kruger Brothers song that appeared in the Banjo Newsletter for August: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyQO...=PL&index=19 The up the neck parts are not included in the newsletter so I'm just wondering how he achieves the staccatto sound that appears at 1:08, 2:15, and 2:36? Is that done on one string with a hammer on? I can't figure out how to get that fast note sound that he brings out. Just wondering if anyone knows how. Thanks.

I think it's a quick roll TIM on one string.

Thanks beegee, that's what I was thinking. Does it look like a hammer on to you while doing that quick roll?

If you watch his right hand, he seems to be doing a classical guitar-type 3-2-1- tremelo.

he can really wear a banjo down to the nub.
