Has anyone ever heard of the Alpha 1? im looking to buy and the seller is asking 150$. id like to know the quality before i make an offer. i googled and searched as much i could. have not found a thing.

Pix? Probably an inexpensive mass-produced Asian banjo of recent vintage, but no way to tell from the name alone.

I think Bill is correct. Probably the same banjo was marketed under severl different trade names. It might be worth $150 (?)

actally i asked him if he'd take 75$. he said he cant go lower than 125$. still seems a bit pricey to me. saw an offer for a gold tone CC-100 on craigslist he was asking 200$ for it and i got him down to 150... but i dont even have 100$ lol its gone now but i really wish i had the money
