The August 2009 issue of the free Mel Bay web magazine Banjo Sessions is now available at http://www.banjosessions.com/ (address corrected on 9/13/09).
. In this issue-

Michael Keyes explains why some players are so much better than others- it has a lot to do with the way they practice. Michael explains how you can get better with what he calls Deep Practice.

Gerald Jones has an arrangement of the third movement of Vivaldi’s Concerto in D for Lute on the five string banjo. It's classical Baroque on the banjo!

Bob Altschuler presents part 2 of versions of Blackberry Blossom to follow up from part 1 in the June issue. This issue features 6 additional variations to add to your repertoire.

There are video and mp3 files to see and listen to so make sure you download them with the articles.

The next issues will feature articles by Winfield champion Randal Morton, along with great clawhammer banjo tips by Dan Levenson and more...
