I've got a show on SIRIUS/XM and I told the listeners who wanted to hear my show's theme song to come here and they could listen to it all they wanted. Well, the same day I put a blog post up on my blog and its about a new law in The City of Bluegrass that says there must be more Bluegrass played in our public places. You can go vote on it at my website whether you'd like that to be a law or not. On the same ballot there's a thing that says "What do you want more of" and its talking about Bluegrass instruments. The instruments are Banjo, Fiddle, Mandolin and Guitar. For a while there people were checking Fiddle a whole lot. After mentioning TheBanjoHangout.org on my show I had a bunch of people start voting for the banjo and it took off and passed the Fiddle and the Mandolin. But NOW the folks over at MandolinCafe.com have gotten wind of the law and the vote and they have had enough players vote that they passed the number of Banjos that were voted for. And their still going strong.
So at this point the Mandolin people are winning. Its beginning to look like an old school "Bluegrass Fight" Hatfield and McCoy style over there. Get a look at 5MWW.com

Mandolins are by comparison much easier instruments to play then banjos and guitars. All the strings being tuned in 5ths makes it that much easier and sharps key changes are easier. It is also easier to read music mandolin a on mandolin because of the logical tuning. GDAE. Anyone playing a stringed instrument can quickly learn mandolin.

Some people are voting more than once. Keep in mind it won't keep a vote that has a word for the zip code. And it just shows up as an X if the same ip votes twice. Banjos are catching up!

I just cast my ballot. You could make everybodys finger purple after they vote to weed out the two timers. Listen to your show on XM all the time, keep up the great work!
I''m always pickin'' on my banjo, but it always beats me up.
