You can get an inside frosted, a clear head, a shiny black head and some weird stuff, including Kevlar.

I've got a top-frosted black head on my CC-100R, top-frosted white on my Maestrotone, Samick, and First Act, and bottom-frosted on my Epi MB-200.

You might be thinking of the solid white colored 5-Stars from Stewart MacDonald. They are made of white plastic instead of being clear with white frosting that is sprayed on. Most would say they have a little brighter sound. Another complaint you read sometimes is that they are so smooth the bridge slides around. I can't vouch for that because in the past I have used them without that result. The advantage to them is that they never get the missing coating wear spots. They are glossy white. I looked at yours and it appears to be a Remo inside frosted (sprayed white on the underside). They are glossy. I have used them too.
