Only answered a couple of questions. I would like to know more about the rim construction. Fat boy?

To the best of my limited knowledge, the rim in all the Ron Stewart models is a "fat boy" rim. Drop Warren an e-mail or give him a call. He'll be glad to answer any questions.

Hey banjobubba,
Ron Stewart here. I'm not chiming in on this discussion, only answering your question about the rim. It is a "Fat Boy" rim like the 1933's were, and I personally pick and supply the wood for them, and Warren bends/builds them, as with the resonators and necks. I hope that helps! Thanks very much for the inquiry.

Ron

Is there a new stock fat rim flange...or does Warren have to turn a new flange to fit his new fat-rims?
Thanks, Brian

Don't quote me, but at one time there was a flange being made for fat rims, but I'm pretty sure he cuts them, due to some quality issues with that flange.

went and visited area 51 today. tmarshall and i rode out and
spent some time with warren and KT. warren was gracious enough to take timeout of his busy work day to do some repair
work on my old 11. and i sure appreciate it too warren!!!
but we had a ball out there, got to see some secret stuff and
as i walked in warren was putting his own banjo back together
and i got to play it for a while,, and it sounded fantastic as you would expect.
after that we tore into warrens old bass and got to playing
and adjusting on it and before long it was really thumping too.
he is one of the nicest guys in the business along with making
one of the baddest ass banjos to go along with it. there is no
doubt now, that my next banjo purchase will be a yates. even
with my handicap of playing left handed upside down is no
problem for warren. he said we can handle it.
now i have BAS as bad as ever.
thanks again warren your an alright dude............................
