Hello All,
Lookin' for a place in Denver to have my Gold Star GF-85 setup. I moved here from Florida about 6 months ago, and it just hasn't sounded quite the same.
I know about Old Town Pickin' Parlor (but haven't been in there yet), was just lookng for any other options. The Boulder area would be good too, as I work near there.
Thanks ahead of time.

The Pickin Parlour would be a good decision, much better than the Folklore Center. If I were you, I would take a trip down to Colorado Springs and have John Ramsey set it up at Tejon Street Music, http://www.tejonstreetmusic.com/. He is a great guy and has a great collection of banjers to pick while you wait. I was in the shop one time and he let me pick his prewar top tension that he ended up selling a bit ago for a cool 75K, just handed it over to me, turned around and went back about his business...amazing. Anyway, well worth the trip down to the Springs, but I would call to make an appointment.

I will second the referral to John Ramsay in Colorado Springs. If you don't want to go that far, call Tanya to the OME shop and ask her to recommend someone.
