I know it's a bit early for this kind of thing, but the dulcimer bunch that I play with all of the time is already gearing up for our Christmas seasonal performances, so I decided to post a few tunes that we might be doing, or that were inspired by songs that we normally perform. This is the first of 'em... The song: http://www.banjohangout.org/myhango...usicid=10468

Well, Mark, the Christmas decorations have already been put up in a lot of our local stores, and the catalogs are coming in the mail like locusts, so you're not really early, just entrepreneurial. Anyway, great, job. I still like to hear banjo picked with a real brush, like the old ones used to do. You get that nice knock-down shuffle that doesn't come through in the playing of the more restrained clawhammer stylists. Sometimes I fear we are gradually removing the "country" from Old Time Country Music. Keep dispensing your antedote.
